Stephen L. Marmer - President
Steve became a partner at E. Frank Hopkins Co., Inc. in 1981, bringing with him an extensive seafood background which includes both wholesale and retail experience. Steve began his career buying lobsters directly from the boats in Atlantic City, NJ, which he shipped to all major distributors on the East Coast. Steve was monumental in bringing the fish industry to Philadelphia, first at Century Seafoods and then to Hopkins. Always an innovator, Steve has traveled extensively in search of quality seafood products. Today he is one of the largest importers of salmon related species in the US market, shipping fish all over the country. Under Steve's direction, Hopkins has ventured into other regions, once operating a processing plant in Ecuador, docks in Cape May NJ and a facility on the fish pier in Boston MA.

An aggressive businessman, he is responsible for restructuring E. Frank Hopkins Co., Inc. business dealings with many suppliers and our bankers to result in a more profitable operation.

Albert A. Z. Pappas - Vice President
Al Pappas has been an owner of E. Frank Hopkins Co., Inc. since 1977. The first of the current four partners, he has at various times been responsible for all aspects of operations. He has always been directly involved with all business dealings, particularly those involving financial and legal issues. Under Albert's direction, E. Frank Hopkins Co., Inc. has seen many changes in the business atmosphere surrounding Philadelphia. In the early years when Hopkins was primarily considered a frozen seafood purveyor, Al was responsible for purchasing these products from all over the world. He also was one of the first to begin daily seafood distribution to the growing restaurant businesses of the greater Philadelphia region. Al has spent many years in the restaurant business owning and managing several of his family's establishments over the years. Today Al continues to source crabmeat products from all producing regions. He is considered to be an expert on pasteurized crab products.

Hugh G. Buckley Jr. - Secretary / Treasurer
Since 1977, "Buck" has been actively involved in the seafood industry, progressing through the ranks from dockworker at Century Seafoods to partner at E. Frank Hopkins Co., Inc. "Buck's" responsibilities have included warehouse management, daily operations, sales and customer service. His primary focus has been on sourcing all commercially important species from North Atlantic waters. "Buck's" efforts have made E. Frank Hopkins Co., Inc. the premier supplier in the Philadelphia region for such commercially important species as flounder, scallops and various ground fish. A member of the California Fisheries Association, he is also a major player in the West Coast flatfish market.
